I have been seeing a nutritionist to try and figure out why my weight lose hasn’t been going as it should. Last month, I went to the gym 6 days a week, ate healthy, and lost half a pound. (that’s half a pound for the entire month).
Among other things she suggested that I start eating more protein right after my workouts. Because I bike commute in Arizona, carrying cheese and yogurt can be a problem. So she suggested I try protein snack bars.
That’s when I came across Fiber One’s Protein bars. They have 40 fewer calories than the other bars I’d tried, 7 grams of protein, and they were on sale. So I thought, “Score”.
However, last night I learned the terrible side effect, the one that has earned Fiber One bars the online nickname of, Fart Bars.
Needless to say, they will not become a part of my daily diet. And I will continue my search for an easy to carry, low calorie, protein source.
