It's my Sparkiversary! Last May, I weighed 167lbs. I was depressed, and my body had begun to hurt in ways that worried me. I was drinking almost every night and feeling pretty hopeless about ever being able to turn it around.

This morning I weighed 143 pounds.
This morning I woke up rested.
This morning I woke up with a plan to be fit and healthy.

The biggest change you might notice if you know me is my size and my energy. The biggest change I notice, you cannot see. I am confident, strong, more energetic, but mostly, I have sense of self control and hope about my future. I feel as if I've been given a set of tools that will enable me to live my best life.

I'm nowhere near what some of you have done. But for me these changes have been beyond significant.

When I gain a couple of pounds, I know how to fix that.
When I am tired, I know how to add the ingredients for a good night's sleep to my life.
When I'm eating, I'm much more likely to be hungry, not bored or anxious or depressed.

This year has been a life changer. Thank you to all of you for the supporters you have been. I'm not stopping. I just wanted to take a moment to reflect and be thankful.
