You heard me right, although not all the time I suppose. Because we all know that soda is bad for us. But yet we still tend to drink it.
This past year a whole lot of things have opened my eyes.
1. My husband's visit to the ER
2. My sister titer tottering on diabetes during her pregnancy
3. My dad having high blood pressure and cholesterol
4. My other sister having a tumor on ovary
5. My other sister having an emergency surgery for her gallbladder
I am starting to make better choices for my quality of life. I used to say I can't eat this or that because I want to lose x amount of weight.
But now.. It's for my health.
I want to live a long healthy life. I want to be functional until the day I pass away.
I want to be an example for my kids.
I want to be there for my kids.
I want to be out of the norm of today.. and cook at home.
I want to explore food. The awesomeness of wholeness food. Not processed food.
I want to feel good after a meal and not bloated and gross.
So yes I have changed how I eat.. but its so much more then the number on the scale now.
It's truly about health this time.
So I am passing the on the sweets more and eating more raw greens.
And sometimes knowledge is the key to self control ( at least in my case)
