Son is having surgery.

Wednesday, July 03, 2013

I'm getting ready to head to the hospital with my 14 year old son. He has two meniscus tears and his ACL pulled a bone fragment off inside his knee. We have to be there two hours early so we are getting ready to leave.

I've packed three different fruits to snack on. I've brought a book to read and I've eaten 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on wheat for breakfast. I should be good, but I didn't want to eat in front of him since he can't.

Wish us luck and say an extra prayer. I don't like anesthesia,at least the first time they have to have it.

Wishing you and your son all the best. My DH has had that surgery multiple times (yup, he only has 2 knees -- but way more than twice) and it's always been painless, completely successful and quick recovery.

Prayers for you you all. I would be stress eating, so great you brought something healthy. I'll remember your example if I'm ever in your position!

Prayers and best wishes for a full recovery! I have been living with a complete tear of my ACL since I was a teenager. I wish they would have repaired then.
Sounds like you have planned ahead and that is awesome! Go for a walk around the hospital, find the stairs!

Just sent up prayers for your son. I am confident that God has him in his hands and that your son will be better than ever.
