Today was so much better than yesterday! And one of the main reasons is that my headache is now only a slight, mild one.
Another reason is that I got on the scale this morning and I've lost 2.4 pounds! I was bloated later yesterday but I wasn't bloated in the morning when I weighed myself, and I wasn't bloated the day before when I weighed myself, and both times I was at 150.6, but this morning I was at 148.2. So going down 2.4 pounds in one day is so motivating! I hope it's not just all water weight.
I'm astounded that I actually lost weight after such a bad day yesterday. I'm sure I stressed my liver because of the Tylenol, and caused stress to my adrenals because of the headache, and counteracted my hormones and metabolism because of the soy. But I lost some weight anyway. I hope it continues!
I've been drinking TONS of water, so I haven't needed to take my cranberry pills. I also stopped taking my supplements when I started the diet since I'm not sure what's in the supplements that might counteract the diet. But so far, I haven't felt any different and the only supplement I really needed to take everyday was the cranberry pills to counteract UTIs, which I haven't needed since I'm drinking so much water.
So far, going low carb and low fat for these two days hasn't been too hard. I had a hard time with breakfast because I was a little nauseated when I woke up and eating protein was the last thing I wanted to do. I really only wanted a bowl of oatmeal, but I made myself an egg white arugula omelet with chopped fresh cilantro on top (the potassium will hopefully help soothe my liver after taking the Tylenol yesterday). It was okay, but hard to eat since I wasn't hungry.
But then I ate turkey deli meat and cucumbers dipped in brown mustard (no sugar or anything I'm not supposed to eat!) and it was absolutely delicious! I should have had that for breakfast instead of the egg white omelet.
Snack was the beef stew from yesterday, which I'm not overly fond of, but I didn't want to waste it. I read a book while eating, which I normally try not to do since I tend to overeat when I do that. But I discovered that reading while eating something I don't like enables me to eat it with the least amount of suffering! I should have read a book while eating the egg while omelet this morning. I also snacked on some celery with lime juice and salt.
Dinner was a broiled sirloin steak and broiled asparagus with lime and salt and pepper. Really yummy! But I'm so ready to eat fruit tomorrow!
The low carb days weren't as bad as I thought they'd be, partly because it was only for 2 days, and partly because I ate a lot of veggies, which helped curb the cravings for fruit.
I did the exercises in the book Never Say Diet by Chantel Hobbs for my strength training today. I had to wait until evening when it wasn't so hot! so I ended up doing them a little before bedtime.
