Day 93 - Tooting Away!

Wednesday, July 03, 2013

We had a meeting regarding the miscommunication between our day program and an open house we were invited to. (see Day 88 blog). I felt that the meeting went well. The management was back peddling and saying we needed to have back up plans. I pointed out that we either should have the tour, but in much smaller groups or we just do the "back up plan" and not have gone to the open house. Management promised a tour to our clients but when we got there, we were not allowed to enter the facility...or eat the food being provided for other guests. Of course, we had behavior incidents over the food...

During the meeting, my last night's IHOP omelet started gurgling through my intestines and I had to excuse myself...I just was not quick enough to get out in time. Every dang step I made towards the door, I tooted! I squeezed my chubby cheeks but to no avail!

When I returned a few minutes later, I could smell a faint sulfuric stench wafting in the room. I was so embarrassed! I was worried that when I returned, I would find near dead bodies flopping on the ground! Egg flatulence is the worst! At least the good news is that I didn't have to smell it full force for those few minutes I wasn't in the room!

Well, tonight my son became the winning pitcher for his team and got the game ball. This was our first night game but it was freezing! 62 degrees with a breeze. Brrrrr!

Starting tomorrow, I will be will be working double shifts for three days in a row plus working full shifts over the weekend. Whew! On July 4th, I work from 9 am to 11:00 pm! I am taking clients to see the fireworks by myself. It is a huge feat when I have walkers and a wheelchair. Hopefully we can get good parking and seating nearby.

Good night everyone!
