Sick, fussy, pounding headache

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

These describe the states of all 3 members of my household. What a day yesterday & today. I'm so tired but I can't sleep. I just stare at the wall. I have no energy to even contemplate more exercise.
Hubby is sick so I've mostly been on baby patrol. Nate is the fussy one, of course. NOTHING seems to settle him down. I've tried walking, changing, feeding, singing, wearing him playing with him, pacifier...I'm out of options. Thankfully my dad is spending the night so we can rest a bit.
I wore in the sling to the BF class today, and then home - about a mile each way. As today was the last day of class, we got a really nice (and heavy!) gift basket. So I'm walking home with the basket, Nate in the sling (which I gave up on 1/3 of the way home; my back hurt too much. I swear, there better be something in the tracker for walking with weights! I'm sore!!! LOL.
On the upside, I'm low on calories for the day, and I've gotten some good cardio, yoga, & st. I just wish I were tired enough to be able to sleep! I'm exhausted!!!

Hope you all had a great day!

You know I got my grandson Camden for a few days a week because my daughter wants him to go to my bestfriend's daycare. I mean Monday night, I had to completely walk away. I think he was just so sleepy he fussed & fussed, he is getting better is almost 2 months. I definitely understand your angst. I got him a sling also so I could walk with him but he is just to fidgety. So I sent it back. He has however stopped crying in short car rides and going to sleep. He slept pretty good last night & he was really good this morning. I think he just missed his mom....so don't despair my girlfriend said it takes at least 3 months until they become calmer. I for one am counting all them days and more! I laugh but I am not used to newborns all night long & getting them ready for daycare too. My youngest is 16 years old so you see I'm out of practice. Don't despair an extra set of hands always helps.

God bless & remember it takes a village.....
