Getting back into a groove...

Yesterday we celebrated Canada Day first at a friend's for an amazing BBQ and a few drinks. My oldest brought her friend and there were a few other families there. Then the girls came back home to paint themselves up to head downtown to the Canada Day Festivities. It was her first time attending as it's the first time she's been here for the celebration since we moved here 4 years ago. She had a blast!
This morning I drove her to the airport and she has now safely arrived in Florida and had lunch at a restaurant Disney World. She's there till August 20th.
I got back and went to work and the day flew by. My youngest spent the day at her friend's (where we had the BBQ) and she's back tonight. We'll figure out plans for tomorrow as I'm trying to ensure she's not home alone too much while I am at work.
I got to see my wonderful friend tonight! I feel so great after seeing him! He really made me feel so much better! We're going to meet up sometime next week again. Every time I meet up with him I like him that much more...
His work slows down after the 8th of July so maybe we'll see each other a bit more ... no matter what happens, I'm enjoying the moments!!
Now I'm winding down the day. I worked out yesterday but not today with the airport run early, but plans to get back into it tomorrow morning.
I ate really light today so hoping for a good weigh in tomorrow for BLC and hope to maybe try to jump back in - if not this week, then next week. I don't want to overwhelm myself as I'm just getting back to work and have loads to catch up on.
For the first time in a while - I'm feeling hopeful again... that some normalcy is coming back to my life. There are still some worries but with the blessings I'm recognizing - I feel very grateful... and believe doors to brighter days are there for me!
