More Is Accomplished

Once again I did not sleep. This time it was much worse. I only slept 45 minutes total last night. But I had more energy today than yesterday, when I slept nearly 4 hours. Weird! Still, I'm running on fumes and iced coffee now and that doesn't bode well for sleeping tonight. We shall see.

But, I managed lunch with the MIL and laundry and dealt with the plumber and took a shower. You might laugh at that last one, but if so, you do not have fibromyalgia. Or you do, and you are laughing with me. Taking a shower can be a very big deal if you are stiff, sore and exhausted. You have to hold onto things in the shower, slippery bottles and awkwardly shaped loofahs. And don't get me started on toothbrushes and floss. So hard to hold onto a Sonicare handle. And, believe me, you don't want to drop an electric toothbrush while it is in your mouth. Bad vibrations, man! Bearing all this in mind, a day with normal personal hygiene is a good day!

This is why someone saying we should exercise every day makes us roll our eyes...or...throw something, if we have the strength. LOL Fibro folks don't kill people who annoy us, because we are too exhausted to move.

Anyway, mostly I do managed the daily tasks now that I no longer work. I am able to floss and dress myself and shower most days. I can usually manage to make a sandwich and steam some veggies for dinner. Though I still haven't mastered more than one meal a day. And I do know that if I get into my swimsuit and into the pool for some water walking, I will feel...not better...but more flexible later in the day. But Lord, right now, a treadmill seems like a mountain to me.
