Love, Love, Love Wild Salmon & fresh eggs (but not together)

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

I am hooked, DH started me buying wild salmon rather than farm raised, well some things are worth the extra cost and this is one of them. Did a rub with lime, salt & little sugar and another filet with light butter & fresh herbs. Sorry didn't plate it for the pic. we also had tomato & cucumber salad & pasta w chunks of parmesan, tomatoes & basil

Then DH is chicken sitting for friends while they are away. So we get the fresh eggs, yum they taste so much better than store bought.

Wild salmon is the way to go! We've seen first hand what farmed salmon looks like when it comes out of the pens....you wouldn't eat it after you've seen it believe me! If you're ever able to eat fresh tuna you'll be shocked at how different it tastes as well! I love the sound that comes from a chicken coop...such a gentle sound! Hope all is well!

Isn't it amazing how different wild vs farmed salmon and store vs home grown eggs are! Your meal sounds fantastic.

Oh my goodness! I have been trying to find someone local here that has fresh eggs. I eat a lot of eggs and prefer fresh if I can get them. How fun to collect them. Watch out of the rooster if they have one though! I love to make salmon patties. They would taste much better if made from fresh salmon!

Wow that sounds really good!! I am such a big fan of salmon too, wish there was a way for me to get the wild kind in my country -found a health food store near my place that sells farm raised chicken, and the taste is absolutely amazing, huge difference against store bought!
