July is here and so am I. To be honest, I just haven't felt "sparky" lately (meaning blogging here and all that) but I haven't given up on my healthier ways. In fact, I think I'm doing a bit BETTER with them. (mind you, "better" doesn't mean "perfect", just slowly better).
June's big accomplishments?
30 days pop free. OH YEAH!! I've decided to just keep going with "no pop" and see how many days I can go. Honestly, it gets easier the longer I go (don't want to lose my streak!).
-3 lbs this month. Finally I'm headed back in the right direction. I know I can do better than that but given all the floundering I did this month (I allowed emotional eating to kick my ass this month) it was a good loss.
Sadly, I'm pet-less right now. My dear old fart cat, Cringer, died two weeks (give or take) ago and that has really been messing we me emotionally. But I'm working through it. I'm also working to tidy up my house (there was some mystery pee stink in the basement, so that needs cleaned pronto) so I can welcome new pets into my home. Just the thought of new pets makes me ecstatic. If it were up to me I would have had new pets immediately, but my spouse kept me in check. He's right, we need to prepare the house for our new babies. And, hell, now is the time to get new furniture. Yes, furniture bought brand new from the store. NOT hand me downs or stuff from the thrift store. Nothing against second hand furniture but we've been married for 12 years now and the only brand new furniture we've every had is our bed (yes, same one--also needs replaced), a crappy futon (which will finally hit the curb during the great furniture upgrade) and a few shelving units. So, yeah, it's way past time for use to get "big girl/boy" furniture.
Creativity wise I'm doing well. I started my FY14 Charity Challenge sewing. I cut 6 dinosaurs from the batik fabrics and have three of them all done. In non-charity sewing news, I've made a bunch of stuff for swaps, two cat toys (for my sister's cats), and two cloth bags. It's great to be getting so much done on the creative end.
Chore wise I'm slacking like a mofo but I intend to use the Great Pre-Pet Clean Up as a jumping off point to get back to my cleaning maintenance/chore list. I like how I felt when I was actively keeping my house tidy.
Exercise wise, I'm toying with doing another full round of S90D. I haven't jumped on board just yet, but I feel that it's going to happen. I want the structure and ease of just following a set exercise schedule (that I didn't have to set!). I need to get back to my yoga, too. I've been way to lax on that and that's costing me money. I hate wasting money like that.
My goal for July is a simple one. Lose a minimum of 3 lbs. I'm setting 3 lbs as my weight loss bar.
Ok, let's get to work.
