Just an info photo -- NOT my home!

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

OMG! This photo was sent to me by one of my neighbors in Yarnell. Don't know how they managed to get it, but here it is.

It is amazing that as you look at this photo you will see where the fire burned, and just beyond that are green trees (in the back) and in the foreground you can see the scrubby grass and weeds are untouched.

It's like the fire skips and jumps, with no rhyme or reason. It evidently is burning a narrow path, leaving behind destruction where it touches, and out of it's path, it leaves everything untouched. Weird! It could be, we've learned now, that our home may have been spared, as miracles do happen.

More to come, as I learn more.

We never know why we have to endure hardship, at times. There is no ryhme or reason to it. Yet, lately that is all we come to see, floods, fires, tornados, hurricanes, etc.

Fingers crossed that your home was saved.

It is obvious that the fire turned so quickly that 19 firefighters didn't have time to get out. It makes one wonder how or why things like this have to happen.

Does the Good Lord know something we don't ?

When you mentioned how the fire skips over one area and burns to the ground next door I immediately thought of how tornados can touch down and then skip over to another place. Such is life in the untamed West. emoticon

If your house is spared, thank your lucky stars. Too many were not spared. emoticon

I hope your home was missed by the fire! My prayers go out to all those that have lost homes, businesses or jobs because of the fire. As well as to all the family and friends of those 19 brave selfless heroes that died.

Tragic for all concerned. If this is farmland I hope they were able to get their livestock to safety. I shudder to think about the total devastation and loss of life (firefighters, animals, homes, memories).

How sad, it's got to be distressing to not know if your home has been spared or not and also what will be left intact in the area when you finally are able to return. I'm so sorry this happened but at least you all got away safely.
