Raking gravel is hard work!

We are doing two projects this summer: redoing the gravel on our long driveway, and building a porch roof. This week it's the driveway. So far today I have raked gravel for three hours. It is hot, dusty, hard work. I couldn't find out how many calories it burns, but I'm counting it like shoveling snow. So, I'm burning lots of calories today. And I'm SO GLAD this is not what I do for a living. I really HATE raking gravel!!

    It's good for the soul to do hard manual labor, every now and then. I can say that since I am not the one doing it, LOL. I have endured many projects over the years. I remember cleaning the outside of my gutters using a sander, so I could paint them. It took 3 days to do this in 100 degree weather. Not fun but it was accomplished. They make it painted now so you don't need to do that but I did endure it.

Functional exercise is the smartest and best exercise! You are saving a lot of money.

Good ole sweat labor! Hope you get all done soon so you can be proud! emoticon emoticon
