So today my baby girl is 11 months! That means I have one more month until I hit my goal date! I am trying to lose 67 lbs before her first birthday. I'm pretty nervous because that means I have one month to lose 11 lbs.
Now you might think that 67 lbs might just be baby weight I packed on from the pregnancy, well you'd be way wrong. I never looked what my weight was my entire pregnancy so I know in all actuality I've I've probably lost over 76 lbs since August. But since I've gotten serious I'm down 56 lbs in right under 8 months.
I had a 9 lb 10 oz baby so I got really really big. Like scary big. I did ask my family doc how much I weighed when I found out I was pregnant and I'm actually down 43 lbs from then! Holy Buckets! That's a lot of extra weight. I was obese and didn't even realize it. I had a bmi of 33 (pre-pregnancy) then 36 (4 months post pregnancy) and now my bmi is 26. If I lose this extra weight (11 lbs) I'll be in the "healthy" category.
Right now I'm thinking that I don't want to drop any more weight then 20 lbs because I don't want to get too skinny for how tall I am. I really want to get rid of my mommy pouch and I'd be golden. Maybe I could go more but right now I'd love to lose 20 before my 5 yr anniversary in September. I want to get sexy pin up girl pictures done of me for the husband! So curves are good, just no lumps! LOL
But my main focus should be short term. 11 lbs in one month. I think I can do it! So what I'll try and do is exercise an extra time a day. 20 min morning and 20 min night. No junk calories. Do more ab exercises. Water in hand at all times. No eating out. Oh and more sleep! Am I forgetting anything? My normal weight loss has been about 10 lbs a month, although last month I slacked a little but still lost. So will it be hard? yes.... but SO worth it!
