New Month, New Goals

June Goals:
10 minutes of CARDIO every day (running, hiking, circuit training, HIIT etc). emoticon
Follow detox diet 2-3 days per week. m emoticon
Drink 10+ glasses of water (or herbal tea) every day emoticon
Sign up for trial at yoga studio emoticon
meal plan! emoticon

I did okay with my goals. I was doing daily cardio for the first week and then forgot about it. I have been including more circuit training type activities and have started doing more HIIT workouts, so I'm at least better off now that I was at the beginning of June, but there is room for improvement.
I also made some workout sticks (large popsicle sticks with different workouts written on them) so I can choose workouts from different categories (cardio, core, upper/lower body) and make a HIIT workout with my interval timer. I made it on Friday and have used it twice so far. I'd like to add more exercises so I get to change up my workout more often.


July Goals
Meal Plan. I honestly do so much better when I plan out my week
Run. Just once. Even if it's only 10 minutes.
Clean eating 3+ days per week
Exercise before work AND after work 4 days per week.
Work on time between meals/snacks. At least 2 hours (AKA no grazing!)
Enact Groupon gym membership after this weekend (even if Jimi doesn't do his yet)
Do a Pinterest project

I seem to have developed this aversion to running! I seriously can't get myself to just do it! And now that it's been 90 degrees every day, I really don't want to run. emoticon
We have a lot of stuff going on this month, so I'm really going to have to buckle down when I'm home to make everything go smoothly. If you fail to plan, then plan to fail! Lots of meal planning and snack planning. No drinking on weekdays so that i can enjoy the drink calories during the weekends when we have activities with friends and family. Usually a non-issue, but I figured I'd state it.

emoticon Drink 64oz of water before even entertaining idea of drinking alcohol.
emoticon Do a 10-15 min workout every morning before getting dressed.
emoticon Do 100 ab reps before I put my swimsuit on.
emoticon 1 treat per day (cinnamon roll for breakfast counts as a treat. So does a cookie or a pina colada.)

Running in the heat is hard. Just start out slow and try to work your way back into it slowly.

    emoticon plan for the beach trip! I think I will do something like this for my trip, too. And the Popsicle stick idea is cool. I have at least two apps on my phone that have random workout generators, but I forget about them. They would be good to use while away from home as well!

    workout sticks--sounds like such a fun/great idea!! I like your goals, I too am trying to stop grazing, just in general, and I've been an eat 5-6 small meals a day type person, now im trying to only be 3 meals/1snack a day type person.

I also love your goal of doing a Pinterest project, you'll have to let us know what it is and how it turns out!

Have fun at the beach, so jealous! I haven't ventured to any VA beaches yet :(
