Epcot in the Rain

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

We decided to brave it and were able to get a few things in between showers but came back to the rental around 4pm as they ride we had a "fast pass" for shut down due to rain. I have to admit that I really don't like the long lines, some of which are an hour and a half. And you are only allowed to get these things called "fast passes" which let you go to the head of the line every 2 hours but then you have to wait a long time before you can use the passes. I basically think it is very much a rip off for what you all ready pay to get into the park. You seem to constantly be running around trying to coordinate these fast passes. My advise for anyone considering coming to Disney World is to come at a really off time. My DH and I were doing the math and for the amount of time we get to spend on a ride and the cost of the entrance fee....we are spending about $10 per minute of fun per person...so $60 per minute. We did this math exercise as we were standing in yet another line. It was just funny to figure it out. So a bit disappointed as you read about all the new rides and things that you want to go on but in reality you can on get on about 3 rides a day with all the waiting. So for any of you out there that are thinking Disney World do it at a very off time if there is one.
Sean, the grandson is still coughing like crazy. Poor baby....but he doesn't act too sick so that is good.
It is a really rainy day so not sure what we will get into today. We still have two day tickets for universal and one day of Sea World yet to do. We are fortunate that we could afford the VIP tickets for both of those so hopefully the lines won't be as long.
