What a surprise

Tuesday, July 02, 2013

I was astounded to discover that I woke up hungry this morning. I don't remember when I last did that. I was very sensible, though, and stuck with my normal breakfast. We are eating out this evening - I have no control over the menu, so I was hoping to save lots of calories. Fortunately I feel fine now, so I can have a careful lunch and still allow some extra room.

Not a very interesting post - but I thought it was a good idea to document it.

Have a great day everyone. Onwards and Upwards. We can all do it together.

I love waking up hungry as I am very powerful in the mornings and it does not scare me to be hungry as I know I rarely overeat at breakfast... Good job you!

Hope you had a wonderful dinner out. I had dinner out too-and ate a beautiful chef salad. Lots of lettuce with some diced tomato and a bit of diced ham and turkey. It was very hot here today and the restaurant was nice and cool and the company was excellent. I bought more raspberries and blackberries as they go off sale tonight. Usually when I am dieting I eat lots of salad and not much fruit. This time has been different as the fruit looks and tastes so very good to me. I, too, have thyroid problems and have to jump thru all kinds of hoops to get Armour thyroid as most docs would rather give out the synthetic kinds. I started on levothyroxine. It was the kind prescribed by a very good endocrinologist in Chicago. The VA only supplies synthroid and it doesn't work nearly as well for me. Then Armour became back-ordered when a couple articles talked about the advantages of bovine and porcine thyroid because of having minimal amounts of T1 and T2. Finally back to getting it on a regular basis. Had my blood levels tested a couple of weeks ago and the thyroid was fine but the vitamin D very low so am now also on that as a supplement and the recent magazine articles talk about how many fat people are deficient in D because it is stored in fat...so besides the 50,000 iu of D2 he prescribed for once a week for 8 weeks he upped my D2 from 2000 to 5000 daily. We shall see. emoticon
