Day 3 - A Case of the Mondays

I hate Mondays because I am going going going for over 12 hours between two jobs and it's exhausting. However, my mom and I went for a walk when I got home from work, so that was nice. I feel good when we get to catch up and actually have a conversation that doesn't result in arguing. This is going to be a random blog but that's okay.

So I have definitely been excited about finally committing to changing my lifestyle. However, I haven't been very good at eating well, which is frustrating. Growing up, we were always told not to waste food, which I somewhat attribute to my eat everything eating habits. We had leftover chicken that I took, which doesn't sound too bad until I plugged it in and realized how truly horrible fried chicken is for you. I hope I'm better at watching my calories tomorrow. I fluctuate between denying myself snacking and wanting to eat EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. It's kind of ridiculous but it's become such a habit that I know it will probably be one of my biggest struggles to break it.

I haven't fully figured out how to navigate the website or my personal page yet. I want to connect with more people but I'm finding that difficult to understand. Maybe I just need to give it a few more days, especially with having some days off from work on the 4th as well as Friday. Thank you for those of you who have visited my page so far and helped with some encouraging words!!

To end, here are some pictures from yesterday... I decided that on a day that I felt I looked good, I'd do some. Looking at them again makes it hit home that it truly is time for a change.

As for snacking, I work really hard to keep good things available to snack on. For instance, I brought a whole POUND of watermelon to work today. It's somewhat filling and soooo low calorie! If you're not a fruits and veggies snacker, I'd definitely try for some protein, maybe tuna or greek yogurt? Protein keeps you fuller longer. I also drink a TON of water. I'm more active because I'm running to the bathroom every two hours, but I feel fuller with water in my system.
