Happy Canada Day!

Monday, July 01, 2013

I was going to go to Louisbourg 300, but dh didn't want to go and it's a long way - good 45 min. each way and apparently there was a 1 hr. lineup through town too. My niece went and they got there at 2:30 and they closed at 5, so long trip for short visit... But, also, my friend of 50 years invited me to her place for a BBQ, so that's where I went. We sat beside her pool, but we didn't get in, the rain came down instead.

Food was incredible, but won't be counting the ribs, sausage and homemade potato salad and coleslaw (the latter 2 I only had scoop of each - it's the ribs I went nuts over..... YUMMY!!)

But the good news was that Buddy and I got our walk in before I went there and I got to read my book before that, so pretty good day. And came home and watched Coronation STreet and read some more, and now it's bedtime already.... time flies when you're having fun.

The other person at the BBQ was a news reporter for a radio station, so very cool, informative conversation to say the least...
nite all.

sounds like a fun and pleasant day for you. I think a lot of canadian will not me doing their food tracking today,,,a lot of americans will not be tracking on July 4th either. No worries, doesn t hurt to miss a day now and then..

I am fortunate as I got through the day right on track, so I am rea happy with myself.

Great that you remain true to your walking and got that in before everything else! bravo!
