More driving!

Monday, July 01, 2013

Oh goodness! I am so tired of driving! First it was Tennessee which was a blast but a lot of driving. We got back from TN Saturday and then Sunday I had to drive 3 hours to get my dogs back from my sister who was dog-sitting. Tuesday we drove 2 hours to get the puppy spayed. Then Friday we drove 5.5 hours to my parents for my brother and sister-in-law's baby shower. The shower went well and it was really good to see them. They are expecting twins so it is extra exciting! But today we had to drive back home...another 5.5 hours to the driving log! The kids and I are sick of the car! On top of that, my son didn't sleep good at all at my parents. A balloon got caught in the fan and it seriously scared him. He spent most of Saturday night crying and staring at the ceiling fan just waiting for it to attack him. So I held him most of the night Saturday. Friday night he was just trying to adjust to a new place. Sunday night he did a little better thankfully but now I am a few night behind on my zzz's.

We had a "cold front" come in and cool things down so the high was 88 today which was awesome! I took advantage of that and got in an afternoon jog. It has been too hot to even consider jogging in the afternoon. Mornings are hard so I loved being able to go this afternoon. It was a good jog. Slow but who cares. I may have lost some speed in my pace, but I haven't quit. I am proud of that. I am worried about this weird and sometimes very painful joint pain that I have had for the last couple of months. I don't want it to mess up my progress. It's weird though because my ankles don't hurt when I jog. It's when I am not jogging that they hurt. My knees hurt sometimes during jogs, but not always. I don't know the cause. I ordered new shoes to see if it is the shoes.

It is so nice to be at home! And not have anywhere to go for at least a couple of weeks! Granted, we are still pretty busy, but at least we are home! Swim lessons start next week for both kids! Woo hoo! I don't think there is any appointments this week so I am looking forward to working on the house and resting maybe?! We shall see. I am also hoping to get into an eating and fitness routine. I think I can I think I can.....
