I've learned to take small victories when I earn them and bask in the glow - while it lasts! I went to Santa Fe to visit my grandbabies and was gone 5 days - stayed on program the entire time, even with birthday food around all day Sunday. This, for me, is truly amazing. It was only a couple of months ago that I did NOT have that kind of will power. Even as recently as last week, I binged on 4 (count 'em!) Snickers ice cream bars in one evening. They were delicious! However, instead of beating myself up about it (my usual answer), I thought, "Well, I've been really good the rest of the week, so it's okay to blow it once in a while." This is the best victory of all. I am excited, motivated and have stopped beating myself up for making the occasional wrong choice. I blame you,! :-)
