4-Month Recap (aka The Good, The Bad & The Good)...

Evidently I haven't posted a blog in awhile... so let me share the "good" first... followed by the "bad"... and now the "good" again...


So the 1st GOOD:

After I completed my weight loss classes at my gym, I was very successful,

So, here were my results on April 1st:

Weight: 4.9 lb. lost

Body fat %: 0.9% lost

Upper arms: 0.5 in. lost

Chest: no change

Waist: 0.5 in. lost

Hips: 0.75 in. lost

Thighs: 0.5 in. lost

Calves: no change

So that made my totals during my 3-month weight loss class as follows:

Weight: 21 lb. lost

Body fat %: 3.4% lost

Total inches: 12.25 in. lost

Now onto the BAD:

Once the class finished, I lost my weekly routine because I had to start varying my work nights again, which meant I wasn't able to go to Zumba & water aerobics every week. I also got a little lax on my eating habits... and the scale & tape measure responded accordingly.

I pretty much let it go the next 2 months, so here is the damage I had done by June 1st:

Weight: 14.5 lb. GAINED

Body fat %: 2.3% GAINED

Upper arms: 0.25in. GAINED

Chest: 0.25in. GAINED

Waist: 1.25in. GAINED

Hips: 1.75 in. GAINED

Thighs: 1.5 in. GAINED

Calves: 0.25in. GAINED

So yeah... definitely not a good couple of months... I almost undid ALL of the good that I accomplished during the weight loss class! But fortunately, I did not let it go for months on end like I typically do...

And now the the up-to-date report... and the final "GOOD":

I used June to buckle back down w/ my nutrition, and was able to produce the following results as of July 1st:

Weight: 10.6 lb. lost

Body fat %: 0.9% lost

Upper arms: no change

Chest: 0.25in. lost

Waist: 0.75 in. lost

Hips: 0.75 in. lost

Thighs: 2in. lost

Calves: 0.25in. lost

So, I've almost gotten back on track... just a couple more pounds to shed (3.9 to be exact), and a couple more inches to lose.

Hopefully it'll all be downhill from here, as I've started to add back in my exercise too... in fact, this past week I actually jogged for the first time since having my hip surgery 2 1/2 yrs ago! Definitely gonna take it slow... but sooooo looking forward to getting back to running!
