83 making up for lost time

Monday, July 01, 2013

That really has nothing to do with the content of this blog - but it makes up for the one I missed Sunday...

Just realized this is the first of the month - I am a little slow today. Wow - new month, clean slate - lookin at my box of crayons and deciding what I am going to fill that slate with...

1. 10,000 steps on the fitbit 6 days a week

2. TRACK my water I drink. I am miserable about tracking water on my nutrition tracker. Silly question but is there an andriod app to log in my nutrition on spark?

3. 5 lb weightloss for month (this may be optimistic?)

I think that is all I am going to work on this month! July is a challenge - Holiday weekend & vacation, birthday parties - lots of food challenges for this girl. I normally add logging in and blogging daily - but with vacation and not sure if I will have internet available - I'm not going there. I will do my best to log in daily!

On that topic - anyone else struggle with that one (logging in)? I work on a computer daily - sometimes I don't even want to go near one on the weekend. Other weekends, I lose hours by logging in and then catching up with everyone! We will see how that rolls this month.

Positive sidenote - one of my friends has jumped on the healthy eating bandwagon with me. She also joined a gym and has been doing a lot of lifting. She won't be a workout buddy, but it is good to have her on board - makes social functions easier when you have someone to support you, or look over your shoulder and kick you in the butt!!!

Lastly got my noon walk in today. All the spring flowers are gone. It is now basically a swamp and woods. However, saw these wild raspberries getting ripe.....

and met my prince charming - he's a bit rough looking - and got away this time - but there's hope.....

So here's to July!!! Get your crayons out and start filling your clean slate!!! Sooooo many possibilities!!!!

YAY for your growing bandwagon! That has to help with support! As for tracking... I go in spurts... but, sometimes at night when I pack my lunch and breakfast, I go to the computer and log it for the next day. The odds that I will not eat it all are slim to none. HEY! That's SOMETHING about me that's slim! But I agree, I can track fitness all day long, but that food is a killer. Keep up the good work! You are doing great!

Seems like you're off to a wonderful start! Love the analogy about the crayons! Also, there is a sparkpeople tracker app for Droids, but it doesn't have fab reviews. I haven't used it.

How nice to have a fan jump on the bandwagon. That can be so encouraging.

To answer your question, their is an Android app for tracking your food, but it is not free - it does cost $3.99. On weekends, I do get to the computer, either early in the morning, or late in the day - it depends on what is going on that day. I did get 3.1 miles in over lunch time, but short of my 10,000 so I need to get on the elliptical later. Cannot believe it is July already! But you are right, clean slate!

Too bad you missed your chance for your prince charming. Be careful, some frogs look innocent but can be poisons! Good luck making your great goals for July!
