July 1 - Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canucks. It's our first day fully out of our apartment and my first of a few night shifts all scheduled in a row. A huge sigh of relief to be done with the apartment and a giant shout-out of gratitude to my hubby, mom and kids for all their help.
Now, I'm faced with a wall or two or more of boxes that need to be sorted out and put away AND continuation of these night shifts, with me being far too much of a farmer to be able to sleep well while the sun is shining. (I should be making hay!) ;)
Baby Steps of sleep included two half-hour naps on the way home to allow me to be a safer driver - arrive alive, I did! I think I got about two hours of sleep at home, as well, with plans on another nap later today. I start work at 10:30 pm, so it can be a fairly late nap. :)
Baby Steps of relocating included bringing some boxes in from the garage - I can't have them out there for fear of mice getting in. Even if I don't yet find time to sort them, at least if I can get them in and peek into each one to get an idea of what is where. The added home activity will also help me to sleep better, with less to think about and more energy burned.
I need to continue to work two full-time jobs right now as the pay for the one is automatic, whether I'm working or not - and it's only right to earn my keep. :) My hours are my own to schedule, for the most part, so I can balance them between the more or less busy weeks accordingly. Baby Step goals will help me stay on track and actually help me maximize my travel time with the other job (which is not always full-time)!
Baby Step goals of food planning and cooking will help me eat as I need to keep going without crashing. :)
Baby Step goals will help me work in some stretching - I get enough workout on the job right now, but stretching will be incredibly important to help prevent injury and greatly reduce stress. :)
