So I'm back home from my 10 day vacation. Sigh. Was living the 'high life' in Kansas City
Hotels, eating out, visiting with my dd and friends, sight seeing, shopping. Shopping. And did I mention shopping??? At antique / thrift stores. I LOVE to collect colored glass shoes, vases, candy dishes, etc. Eye candy for me.
I plan to post short blogs about my adventures.... more to come.
All in all, a GREAT trip! I took care to eat when I was hungry, choose what my body wanted, ate slowly. I was SO AFRAID of throwing up or dumping!!! Good news: didn't do either- YAY! After a few days of Midwest heat and humidity, my body let me know I needed to DRINK MORE WATER!
I DID drink way more than usual coffee (an indulgence of mine) and occasional iced tea. One night I got really dizzy and realized I wasn't peeing much
and was probably dehydrated. So I stepped up my water intake, got back on that track and all was fine.
I'm back to work catching up on my emails and stuff. Sigh. Also have a 'laundry list' of stuff to take care of for my dad (replace phone that was either washed or dropped in toilet- never did get that story straight, return call telling me he was refusing all 'help', etc. sigh.) Personal life stuff like getting the house painted, buy new tires (had a flat tire on way home from airport), unpack, laundry, blah, blah, blah.
On the bright side: I lost 10 lbs while I was gone
My DH says it's in my wallet!!!
