Running Goals (Current & Upcoming)

Well, I looked at the overall times for the Virtual 5K Run for June 2013. I placed 7th in my age group, where there were 24 other women. Overall, there were 113 women who participated and I placed 37th. I had a time of 36.48 minutes. I will try my best to beat my personal best of 34.54 minutes for my Virtual Run this month, which I achieved in June during my first 5K in years.
Later on today, I will be continuing my 10K training. I want to be able to run for 60 minutes without walking. I hope to reach this goal by the end of this month. My first 10K race is in October and I really would like to do well. My goal for that race will be to complete it without any walking.
Once, I accomplish the 10K, my next goal for August/September would be to accomplish my longest run of 9 miles without walking. Then, who knows, maybe, I'll start training for a half marathon for November. I know I will be training for one next spring, but November 2013, we'll see! One of my BGR buddies is really trying to influence me to do the half in November. Only time will tell.
I know that this may seem like a lot to some people. But, I have to post my current and my upcoming goals in order to keep myself focused and motivated. Putting them in my blogs really help me to remember what I'm working towards.
