Tips, Rules and Goals:

Weigh yourself at least two or three times a week, and write down every single thing you eat.

Sugar is terrible for you, for your waistline and for your liver ó even worse than saturated fat. Avoid it, especially in beverages. To satisfy your sweet tooth, focus on fruit.

If you donít do any exercises, start. If you do, make them more strenuous. And include some weightlifting, yoga and pushups.

The more fundamental a food item ó the less itís been processed ó the better it is for you.
Donít let others tempt or talk you out of your weight-loss program; be firm. Establish and build on connections with a support circle (SPARK PEOPLE) of like-minded others who will diet and exercise along with you.

Commit to losing 10 pounds. Itís a very reachable goal, itís a good foundation to build on, and even 10 fewer pounds can make a difference in your health.

    Great tips!!!
I'm working on the sugar and I've begun to be more firm in my program. I just have to say no going out to eat instead of cooking at home, to skipping a workout to go out for drinks, to waiting for someone to workout when you're pretty sure they're going to change their minds when the time comes. It was difficult turning people down initially, but they are starting to admire my dedication and be more mindful of my needs. There are other ways to socialize that include fitness or at least focus on things that won't wreak havoc on your healthy progress.

Sparkpeople has been, and continues to be, a GREAT source of support and encouragement!
