New Month New Goals....again?

Monday, July 01, 2013

I am great at coming up with a plan and new goals, but not so great at actually meeting them. So here is to a new month, lets see what happens.....
Eat healthier-i know this would work better if i prepare my lunches for work the night before instead of in the morning when i'm half awake. I really need to make myself a menu....
Exercise-NO EXCUSES! I just need to get my ass off the couch and do it
Smoking-not too bad, I'm am now down to "i only smoke when i drink" (or really stressed)
Drinking-if i stop drinking, i bet i can quit smoking completely. Just need to make a list of things to do instead. Maybe i will come up with some projects to keep my hands busy.
Well, here's to a new month, good luck everyone

I always want a cig when I'm drinking and I haven't had one in 6+ years!

I've found that "quitting completely" always leads to a deliciously naughty taboo to form around the thing I am quitting.

Therefore...I drink when I want to drink. I smoke when I need to smoke. If I need a cheeseburger, I eat a cheeseburger.

Of course, I haven't smoked in AGES. I've been a vegetarian/sometimes vegan for AGES. So, it seems to be working. If I tell myself that there's nothing special and forbidden about those things, I tend not to crave them.

(I do still drink wine...but I justify that by saying that it has healthful benefits.)
