Week #10 Review and Weigh-In

Monday, July 01, 2013

Wednesday morning (6/26/13) was my 10th weigh-in. I honestly wasn't sure how this week was going to turn out. The first part of the week, Wednesday-Friday wasn't good because I didn't much get exercise and I ate terribly, but the second part of the week Saturday - Tuesday was awesome. I thought that I might break even for the week (no gain, no loss)

So when I stepped on the scale, I was happy to see that it dropped from 281 to 278.5 pounds. So I re-lost the 2.5 pounds that I gained in Week #9. So, once again, I'm down a total of 13.5 pounds from when I started 10 weeks ago. My average weight loss per week is now 1.35 pounds. The gains in Week #6 and Week #9, are messing up my average.

Looking back at Week #10, my exercise was pretty good. I walked 17.2 miles, got in 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer, did two hours of hiking and 60 minutes of spinning. The totals aren't that high, but I'm extremely happy with the variety of exercise that I got in. I also finally got some weight training back into my routine as well. The highlights of the Week #10 exercise were going hiking at Great Falls and climbing the 50 foot rock face (Saturday, Day #67) and also doing my first spinning class (Monday, Day #69)

Week #10 food was not great. Wednesday - Friday, I completely fell of the wagon and had fast food and sweets. I did much better from Saturday - Tuesday.

So overall, Week #10, started out bad, but ended wonderfully. For Week #11, I hope to lose at least 1.5 pounds, so I can finally says that I've lost 15 pounds. We'll see...

On to Week #11...

I think you are doing great! I love to exercise, but find myself walking or playing tennis. Not much variety. YOU have variety! They say that helps jump start your body so much. You should be proud of what you have accomplished, and now you have inspired me!

Great job! I know how depressing that can be when the scale "goes up" but as long as you go back down again, that is what counts! I am horrible on the exercise part. I live in the mountains and it is difficult to go anywhere to exercise and walking up the hill almost kills me, but I am getting better. I bought a dvd to exercise with, but just can't seem to do it. Even though I have been losing weight, I know the exercise would help it come off faster!! One day, you will drive by a fast food restaurant and just the thought will not be appealing to you. If I break down and eat a hamburger, I regret it during the night because my stomach can't handle it. And sweets. I want them so bad, but I know they will sabatoge all of my efforts. Last time I "cheated" and had a cupcake, it was not near as good as I remember them to be, plus it just seemed way too sweet for me. Keep up the good work. You are doing awesome. The exercise will really help build muscle so you won't have saggy skin once you lose all of that weight and look awesome!
