Day #70 - Too Hot

Another week where I'm super behind on my blogging. Let's talk about last Tuesday, Day #70, 6/25/13.

Here's the exercise that I did Tuesday (6/25/13):



5.0 miles of walking - Tuesday's lunch walk was to the US Supreme Court (I wish they would hurry up and finish the renovations, so they could take down the drape from the front of the building)

35 minutes of the elliptical trainer

30 minutes of weight training

It was blazing hot outside when I went for my lunch walk. Fortunately, I had my sunblock and my water so I was good to go. I was sweating like crazy though (see picture below):



That's the funny thing about really hot days. I can be outside for 30 minutes and not sweat at all. But then after 30 minutes, I'll start perspiring and by 40 minutes the sweat will be pouring down my face and won't stop until I've been back inside next to the AC for 30 minutes, lol.

Tuesday evening I went to LA Fitness and did some more free weight training and leverage weight training with my friend from church, Don. We worked on chest, arms and abs. I'm still amazed at how much more I sweat using the free weights and leverage weight machines than I did when I was just using the cable weight machines. The elliptical was a little difficult at first, but I think it was because it had been a week and a half since I had used it. After 10 minutes on it, everything felt normal again.

So it was another good day.
