If you asked anyone who knows me, what is one thing they can tell you about me, they would probably all say, "she loves babies." Tis true, tis true. All babies! The more the merrier.
A friend and I went to the zoo on Saturday and spent a lovely day. The weather was perfect and we walked 3 miles during our outing. Such a fun way to burn calories!
And first up, my favorite zoo baby:
When I first saw Lucas, he was so tiny, he didn't even come up to Momma Renee's knee. Now, he's up to her ears and he's got tiny tusks started. My baby is growing up too fast!
Suka (pronounced SOO-kah): The female cub. Her name means fast in the Inuit language.
Sakari (pronounced Suh-KAR-ee): The male cub. His name means sweet in the Inuit language.

There was also another baby and I have no idea what it is or what it is named. I looked on the zoo website but didn't find anything for this tiny little baby.
He/She was so cute. Very playful but nervous to be away from Mom.
It was a really good day to be at the zoo. The weather was lovely and everyone was out and about. That was the most active I've ever seen the animals. Even the lion was roaring! (That's a scary sound, even with that giant fence in place!)
I was tired on Saturday night but I had such a lovely time and had lots of babies to adore so in my book, it was nearly a perfect day.
One last tiny baby picture to share. My sweet Toby turned 9 on Sunday. Isn't he a handsome fellow?
