Year Two: Day One of the New Goals
Maintenance seems to be on track this morning, so it is definitely time to start the real work on procrastination…no more “tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow” s!!
First, I must share a photo of my little “study” (taken in January, 2013)
You wouldn’t tell anyone what a packrat hoarder I am, right?!
Now, to be clear, here are a few more quick pix to show that our common rooms do not mirror my “private” mess.
In addition, in all fairness, I have made a bit of progress since this challenge began 119 days ago.
See… the desk is more or less orderly. Just don’t look at what is gathered to the right, nor stacked to the left of the main focus!
So today’s project is to begin on the right. I’m an organized person LOL ,so the bottom of the pile will be carefully laid out…a good level foundation! My modus operandi is to set what is in my hands at the moment on top of the nearest “logical” flat surface, until I have time to put it in order and/or discard what is extraneous (usually very little of either is accomplished as you can now attest!)
1. Take down the accumulations. No, do not place them on the desk chairs, or on top of the printer. (I think I know enough not to put them on my laptop!)
2. Stop…go back and do #1. Now!....
So it is off to the big city, but I’ve got a good beginning. Please don’t look at that stack on the floor!
