Fourteen cubes of butter

That's my visual to myself: Last week, I lost weight equivalent to 14 cubes of butter or 3.5 pounds.

The weekend - much much harder to track and eat right. I didn't gorge myself, binge or even really overeat - more I had problems remembering to eat, getting too tired and waiting too long to eat, etc. We did eat at Outback for our anniversary (first time we've had money to do so). Did great until we decided, what the heck, we will split a dessert and ordered the Chocolate Thunder From Downunder. I didn't even finish my half and I felt sooo sick afterward. So. Sick. Like just thinking of it now, three days later....I feel sorta sick again. So very not worth it.

This weekend was a testament to "I just feel better when I eat right".

My partner starts her job today!!! WOOOO HOOOO!!!!

And, it's going to be about 100 today. oh...yay. LOL. I'm not a lizard, I'm a turtle. 70 is just right, 75 is bearable, but I don't like it. Over 80? Uh, no.

Stay hydrated, use SUNSCREEN! and have a great day, I will!

    GREAT JOB at loosing the 3.5 lbs!! CONGRATS! I hope your GF has a GREAT 1st day on the job!! :)

I know ALL too well about how hard it is to stay on track during the weekends!! Feels impossible, really... :( We just gotta keep on tryin'!

100 degrees ain't nothin' for us!! Try 114 today and it was 118 over the weekend here in Phoenix, AZ. WOWSA!! THAT is HOT! LOL

Congrats to you for losing a whooping 3.5 pounds in a week.

You are so right about feeling good when you eat well. I'm on day five of staying on track and feel so much better.

It's been very warm, OK HOT, here too. Makes it difficult to want to exercise. Keep moving, even if it's just pacing while you watch TV.

I'm so proud of you! We'll both make it a great week......

    I'm with you on the temperatures! Desserts, I find, rarely live up to what you think they will be. Which is maybe a good thing if we can remember that BEFORE we order it...I stay pretty happy being relatively low-carb. If I had to give up fat, I would be very unhappy! Lots of bacon, macadamia nuts and some homemade mayo yesterday, and the scale fairy was kind to me this morning!

    Sounds like you had a lovely anniversary meal! I'm glad you were able to splurge.

It also sounds like your body is teaching you what not to eat! LOL Sorry to hear about that part. I still have issues like that, after many years on restricted carbs and more and more Primal eating. Things I used to love just "don't taste like that" anymore. One bite/taste of a thing is enough to satisfy my "craving." And the cleaner I eat, the less I can tolerate anything not whole food - especially processed anything. I'm trying to get past the indiscretion of Subway from yesterday right now. bleah I think the aroma of that nice fresh bread cooking isn't going to override my memories of what it did to me "the last time" now!

You've got me contemplating Outback though. I used to love their Alice Springs Chicken. What's not to love? loads of BACON and all that drippy cheese.... mmmmmm They wrecked their prime rib when they felt they needed to put all the spice and rub on it. But I'm still iffy about the chicken. I might have to give it a try again sometime.

I wish I could be more agreeable about the weather! I used to love it between about 65 and 75. I've developed health issues now that make that a bit too on the coolish side these days. I'm content until it approaches 90. Even that's not too bad so long as there's some air movement. Combined with "still" and "humid" though... well. I'm just glad we have some non-primal amenities in our modern world. Like air conditioning!
