Cleaning out my closet

Monday, July 01, 2013

We're having a yard sale this weekend, so I thought I'd go through my closet and get rid of some clothes that haven't been worn in a while. I've been so focused on how healthy I have been feeling since starting a plant-based diet over three years ago, along with running and strength training on a regular basis, that I really didn't think about how many of my clothes are too big for me now. As I started cleaning out stuff, I saw tags with XL, size 16, 14, and 12 and all of this stuff is too big for me now! I tried on a pair of 14 pants just to see how they fit, and it almost comical how big they looked on me. You could not see my legs or butt because they were so big! I'm currently wearing a size 8, but there are some things that are size 10 that I'll hang onto for awhile, but it would be awesome if I could eventually get rid of the size 10 stuff as well! It was definitely an eye-opening experience looking at my old clothing and realizing just how far I've come!

Donate the cloths somewhere. I got over $1000 tax deduction last year by giving away my fat cloths & othert stuff I didn't need. Give no more than $250 at a time - less paperwork.

Great job, I am trying a plant based diet recently and your blog has inspired me to keep at it! Thank you, my friend.
