Blessings continue at our house...

Sunday, June 30, 2013

Praise the Lord that Richelle and Joe made it home safely last night. It was a day filled with prayers on my end. She told me they were almost involved in two accidents, but the Lord was watching out for them. Prayers continued....Thanked the Lord for his blessings also...the good and the bad.

As we continue to get thunderstorms, today storms came complete with heavy rains, lots of loud thunder and hail. I told Ken that at least it washed the top of our motor home...something we aren't able to do ourselves. Blessings can be found whenever you look for them. PTL!!!
Praying for our farmers who are having a hard time harvesting their hay. With all the rain, the hay isn't able to dry properly for them to bale and it is just wasted. We sure need several days of no rain so they can get everything done. Also praying for the gardens that they aren't flooded or washed away.

Our strawberries and raspberries are doing great. We are sharing the strawberries with the squirrels. We could not figure out what/who was picking them and leaving parts of them on the sidewalk. Then we came home and saw a squirrel sliding under our gate. All we could do was laugh as he left two more mostly eaten strawberries on the sidewalk. When I talked with my dear friend, Patty (McKenzie's Mema) this morning, she said they were really eating hers this year too.

McKenzie continues to enjoy her summer camping experience as they are able to swim, ice skate, crafts, play games and just having fun being a kid. Her mom drops her off on her way to work (about three miles from her job) and picks her up on her way home. Sure works out for them both. Her mom loves hearing about her days first hand!!!

June has been an interesting month but I am sure July will hold many surprises also. Talked to my brother in Montana the other day and wished him an early happy birthday. He is still a firecracker even at 63...born on the Fourth of July!!! We will call him again in a few days just to see how his and the family are doing. He is still a leader in the Boy Scouts and his sons are all involved in the military.

Be sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you and give them a great big hug!!! We are never promised tomorrow and need to take advantage of every day!!! Enjoy whatever life brings your way and have a wonderful week!!!
Blessings, love and hugs,

Baby Z due December 15!!!
My wonderful family and a loving husband. I love you!!!
Enough "bad" things to keep life interesting
Heat, air conditioning and electricity for our home
Rains and thunderstorms, followed by the sun shining
Plenty of healthy food
Great doctors that are genuinely concerned about me
Answers to all my questions
Tests that provide the answers we need
Thankful for each new day that I am given!!!
Unexpected twists and turns in our lives
God is in the "miracle" business!!!
Thank you, Lord, for your guidance and patience with me!
Too many positives and blessings to list them all here...Praise the Lord!!!

BTW: Continuing prayers for those affected by severe weather, high temperatures and fires.

Helen, happy to read they got home safely. Silly squirrels!! My landlady used to leave them peanuts so they wouldn't eat in her veggie garden. Not sure if it really stopped them or she just spoiled her "Petey."

Rain continues here everyday as well. It always seems to come as soon as I arrive at the park to set up our table. All the paper stuff is limp from the dampness.

Happy July!

I enjoyed reading your blog this is the first time I have encountered you via mutual sparkfriend Didmis;. You have such a nice way of writing and putting your thoughts into words. Glad your family missed those accidents they had a Guardian Angel watching over them. Loved your gratitudes, i can relate to the Doctors caring and doing a good job, I'm living proof of that PTL !! God Bless you, and I would like to add you as a friend, and hopefully you will friend me back.

    Lots of good news.
Even the squirrels like to eat healthy.

I especially liked "Be sure to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you and give them a great big hug!!! We are never promised tomorrow and need to take advantage of every day!!! Enjoy whatever life brings your way and have a wonderful week!!!"

Glad Richelle and Joe are safely home, two close calls is so scary :(( The weather is wreaking havoc on so many people and their lives. Its been such a bad year so far.
Hoping it will improve soon.
So a squirrel is the thief! I didn't know they ate them! Hope your plants produce enough to satisfy everyone -strawberries are my favorite fruit!
I never went to a camp as a child, but heard about my nephew and niece's camps and they sound like so much fun! My sister has a summer job cooking for two weeks at a Bible camp run by her church. Its wonderful McKenzie has the opportunity to enjoy them!

You have more interesting critters to share your strawberries with. Ours seem to attract slugs that think they are tasty also.

We had the rain earlier this year and could use
more but we'll wait until after the haying season
is done. This week the temperatures are slightly
below normal and that will help preserve the
moisture we have. Hope the sun comes out
and dries off the extra so life can get back to normal.

Helen, we finally had a day of sun - yesterday and were back to rain again today. I filled all my bird feeders and it felt like I was walking on sponges.

Glad to hear that Richelle and Joe made it home safely. Were they driving in the rain?

I pray daily for all those in these severe weather situations. So many people have lost so much.

Stay safe. Bless you and your family.

hugs....Mary Anne
