Making Progress on my Weekend Dessert Challenge

I have started weekend 2 of my challenge to reduce my desserts on the weekend, which is a problem area for me. It seems in my world, desserts are everywhere on the weekend. emoticon emoticon emoticon I have not given up desserts; I am learning how to control my portion sizes anytime that I am “sugar toothed challenged” and to be more selective in what desserts I eat. In the past, my weekends were a “free for all” times for desserts which was impeding my progress. I am happy to report that I am making process. emoticon . I have been staying busy and reading articles from many Spark Members, like you, that have been successful in meeting their goals; one thing that stands out from the Members is that they always keep their “eye on the prize”. emoticon emoticon I am so happy that we have so many resources available to us here on Spark People and so many Spark Friends to encourage us on our journey. I am thankful to God, Spark People and my wonderful Spark Friends for my successful journey so far.     I am so happy for your success in applying the wisdom of the Lord, which you received by away of Spark. God enjoys sweet food, too, else he wouldn't give is apple's and honey festival to represent His goodness and provision. When the day is done (or... the end of every weekend), may you be continuing to sing His praises.

    what a good attitude! this will help you more than anything in reaching your goals! portion control is one of the hardest things to do, because you have to think "child size" when it comes to "bad" foods and desserts. Only 1 2"x2" piece or 1/16th of cake, or 1 cookie (who can just eat 1 cookie?) and there are certain things you may just have to stay away from until you lose your taste for them (for me, again the cookies - especially homemade ones!) so once again your attitude toward desserts will be your biggest help! emoticon
