Physically and emotionally wilted

Sunday, June 30, 2013

I'm drained by the ongoing heat. I'm staying hydrated, but it isn't helping much.

Emotionally is another matter. June was a difficult month for me (see June's blogs) and it's left me drained and limp-feeling. I don't know where to go from here. I'm just tired and kind of weepy. Time for some more coffee.

Some good suggestions here. I know you have been through it and through it lately and I feel sad that you are having yet another problem. Have you tried contacting the Department of Human Services for where you live to see if they have some programs that could help you with the housekeeping and laundry chores. In Chicago we have a Dept of Aging also that give help that way.
What ever you do don't give up. It may be stressful and tiring but consider this: God made us to be problem solvers. If we don't have problems to solve then we tend to subconsciously create our own to solve and they are far worse than just normal life problems. So quitting and giving up just mean you are in for worse problems than you have now! You are a spirited and feisty woman and you have handled all the things thrown at you like a true lady with dignity and a clever mind. emoticon

Coffee is a diuretic. Try to stay away from it when it is really warm. Let June and its stresses go. Look ahead to July and the promise of a new month.

How about a cleaning service like Merry Maids? Anyone at your church that might be able to help you? Try to do a little each day, even if it's only a load of laundry.

You can only do what you can with what you have. . . but whatever you do, don't give up.

Gosh...I feel so bad for you. But defeated is NOT your nature! You'll just have to figure out a way to push forward and endure this down period. The important thing is to NEVER give up on yourself. You've been through too much and came to far to even think about this!

Remember where there is a will there IS a way! You are a wonderfully SMART, feisty woman and one that we all care about immensely. Sit down and write out some probable solutions and then get on the horn and find someone that can help you through this slump. All any of us need is someone to hold our hand sometimes and tell us it's gonna be okay!

It's gonna be okay...okay! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Coffee solves all problems emoticon (although its really not great for hydration purposes - caffeine dehydrates you).

I hope your July is significantly better than your June was! Always look to the future - things can't get better if you're dwelling on the past. emoticon

Hope you feel better soon. June has been a tough month for me as well and this heat wave is doing nothing to help. Hopefully, July will only bring good things. :) ]

Hi - sorry you're going through such a difficult time. Take it one day at a time and I agree go for water instead of coffee! Coffee always makes me feel worse because it has that ability to make you jittery - not good when you're feeling down and out anyway. I read your previous blog. It sounds like your boss really cares about you and is giving you time to figure out how to fix the whole odor thing *and* you know what to do to fix it..so those are 2 good things. Have you tried calling a service like "Merry Maids"? Also, can you pay your neighbor to help you once a week? Keep trying and calling different cleaning services till you find someone that works for you and your budget. Don't even think of giving up emoticon . Good luck.

Give it your best each day and some days your best will be better than the other days and that is ok. If I was closer I would help you clean your house. Are there any other services that might be able to help you? Does your employer have anything? Here in NY the cleaning services are rather expensive. emoticon
