EOTM Wrap-Up

I got this idea from one of my Spark Friends: NAPPIGURL! Here's my End of the Month Wrap-Up.

I ran 2 races and walked one this month. For the remainder of the year, I will run timed races. I have not done too well with tracking my mileage this month, but that will change in July. Additionally, I will take better care of my precious knees with my training and running these upcoming races. I will stretch, ice my knees, and soak in Epsom salt after my training and races. I'm actually icing my knees as I type this blog!

I did not do too well with tracking my food this month either. Once more, this will change in July. I know the importance of tracking food, because it has definitely helped with my weight loss.

Despite my mishaps this month, I have lost 7 pounds. This goes to show you that even with the little or big mistakes, you can still make progress. For one of my challenges, I actually met my goal to weigh 147.8#. I actually surpassed it by weighing 144.1#. Now, I want to reach the weight that's on my driver's license, which is 142#. I hope to reach this by the end of this week.

For July, I will be doing Shaun T.'s new DVD workout as well getting back into my strength training. Additionally, I will be focusing on my core work, which is important with running. I will continue my 3-4 days of training with my runs. I will be consistent with this, because it is difficult to take time off from running, then getting back into my runs. This definitely happened to me with yesterday's run. Consistency is key!

This afternoon, I will be creating my workout schedule as well as including my run training. My goal is to have 6 miles down-packed by the end of July! Who knows, I may be ready for the half marathon in November? We shall see!

I hope to reach my goal weight of 135 by the first week of August with my progress from July! I know I can do! I'm going to give it my all! I know what I have to do and I'm developing the game plan to accomplish it! Here's to a new month with new progress.

    New months and goal setting are so exciting!!! I definitely need to adopt some sort of foot and leg post-run care regimin like your soaking and icing routine.     You are awesome ! Congrats on your weight loss & all of your great training. It's wonderful that you ran a few races & walked one this month & are planning to do more. I believe you will meet your goal of 135 by Aug. You can do it ! Sounds like you have a great plan for July. Good for you ! Keep up the awesome work & attitude ! emoticon
