Keeping Up With Toddlers Should Be On The Fitness Tracker

Sunday, June 30, 2013

I really do believe this. And I think calories burned should depend on how many toddlers and where we are at. Of course home would burn less calories, but still a work out in my opinion. Out in public, oh yes, this where you feel the burn! And cleaning up after said toddlers would count toward the heavy cleaning I would think...lol. Especially when you had 2 very active toddlers at work in your home!! It started with taking the princess to get ears pierced... the lil man didn't want hand held and wanted to RUN...uh, no...we are at the mall!! of course he then proceeds to throw himself on the ground and refuse to get up no matter what amount of tugging you do to him...so i picked him up and told dd2 he was the one going in the stroller... princess is still light enough to carry thankfully...of course this also meant that i had to be constantly walking or he would stand up and try to get out... so we walked...as i said, he did good as long as i stayed moving...so grandma treated him to a pretzel dog...his first one...and he loved it...so back home we went where my lil guy was not so patiently waiting for his grandma to arrive...he got most of the toys out... right in front of the door to the kitchen... that is when the fun began, because now he had his big cousin there to help him destroy the kitchen...some toys made it into there, and then the canned goods came off the shelf...and let's not forget the plastic ware, mostly the forks, had to be strung about...at this point i am beginning to think they are out to get me... trip on the toys, stab my foot with the forks then slip over the cans... yep... they are out to get me...lol. Then dd1, lil guy and i was off to get his pics taken... the lil man was not happy that i was leaving him...and after he told me no and everything...so as they were leaving out the back way, he gets the shovel off the back porch and drops it across the steps...you know, i could start to take this seriously...if the respective humans were not almost 1 and almost 2 years of age...lol. i'm thinking we should never let them watch home alone...ikes...they would kill me off for sure...and then of course keeping lil guy in my lap while his mama picked his picture out was like a wrestling match... all in all, yes, i burned many more calories than i can track on the tracker...but as i was cleaning up the destruction...or even just sitting here thinking about it all...i wouldn't trade not one moment of the day...for one, look at those memories being built...and truly, i have so much to be thankful for...they are healthy normal active toddlers...that's something to shout about....and i had the bonus of burning all those extra calories ;)

Just the title says it all, indeed, toddlers will have you running around in circles after them and that surely must equal a lot of calorie-burning LOL!! Again, luv the pics!!!
