Eat to live-metabolism

I have learned by reading and experience that keeping my metabolism high through physical exercise and supplements is important. Moderate to high intensity exercise has made a big difference in seeing my attitude improve, and more importantly, my blood sugar levels go down.
For supplements-I take a multivitamin, fish oil, folate and vitamin D. According to Dr. Mark Hyman, these nutrients are essential helpers in both our biochemistry and metabolism. "They are the oil that greases the wheels of our metabolism." (Blood-Sugar Solution by Dr. Mark Hyman). I also work hard at eating unprocessed foods in their natural states inn order to get all the vitamins, minerals and essential fats that I need.
Farmers Markets are great places to get fresh picked local produce-especially for the greens! I especially love local broccoli. The heads are smaller-you can even eat the leaves. Broccoli is high in vitamin D and can help prevent and cure many diseases. It is both nutritious and delicious!
