Sometimes when I think of counting Sparkstreak days, it seems almost childish, but it is a marker, and I find I value seeing the number go up. I also love to see the weight marker go down, which it didn't this week. I feel like it will next week though - I'm doing my best.

This weekend is very different than the last two - no parties and company. Fourth of July is coming up though, and I know a cherry pie is part of the festivities. Sigh. I am going to try to work a sliver into my calorie count for the day AND lose weight!

I spent a lot of the day in the garden. I finished putting on the lime, and finally gotthe corn and pole beans planted. It is a lot of work, as we suffer from lots of crows (they got most of our cherries this season) and we have to cover the rows of corn and beans so they don't eat the seeds and emerging plants. The rest of the planting should be much easier, and maybe I will have most of it finished tomorrow. I'm hoping so!

The upside of all this effort is that it is a lot of exercise. i am really tired, as our garden is very large and in two places. The tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, boysenberries, and grapes are in one section, and the rest of the garden is in this new section, just prepared, after trees and stumps were removed. There are plenty of little sticks and roots to remove at the same time I am planting. Anyway, progress on all fronts, and I am feeling it.

I can definitely relate. I spent much of June sifting rocks out of my garden beds. My plants are all in and they have survived all of the storms that we've had lately. I too have gotten lots of exercise in as a result of the gardens. Honestly, I really just enjoy watching it all grow. emoticon

Gardening is a great way to work, the time passes and you're so involved with what you are doing. emoticon
