I think that everyone should check out the Virgin Diet book by JJ Virgin. This book shows you how to determine if you have a food intolerance that is keeping you from losing weight. It lists the top 7 foods that people experience intolerances to and helps you to make wise substitutions. If you suffer from a food intolerance, it can keep you from losing weight, cause bloating and gas, cause nausea, and in general make you feel ill. A food intolerance is not the same as a food allergy. I have found out that I have a gluten intolerance, and since I gave up bread and other gluten containing foods, I have been losing 2 to 3 pounds a week. I am so longer suffering with nausea and bloating every day. Since May 5, I have lost a total of 30 pounds.
I first learned about this when JJ Virgin was on PBS giving a talk about her program. Trust me, it is worth checking into.
