Everything is So Easy

Saturday, June 29, 2013

Yesterday, long story short, I was hurt, angry, and hypoglycemic, and ate a bag of wheat thins--it was that easy. When I came to my senses, I realised I haven't been hypoglycemic since I began this journey in February, so I didn't believe I needed my three-o'clock snacks anymore and discontinued them. So, yesterday, after much reflection, I determined that I do need to plan for those snacks, and the only way to do that is to rob from peter to pay paul (a whole other blog). Today, at three-o'clock, I wished and I washed, then I remembered yesterday, so I ate a bowl of oatmeal. It was that easy.

I usually have 2 small healthy snacks during the day to control my cravings for sweets.(This works most of the time...) emoticon emoticon

emoticon I typically eat 1/2 - 3/4 of my lunch & save the remainder for a couple hours later. Keeps my hypoglycemia in check.

I plan and allow for snacks by eating a lighter lunch and dinner. Because I'm usually at work for lunch, it was easy to move my piece of fruit from lunch and eat it later in the afternoon. Similarly with dinner, if I have planned a desert, I eat it as a snack. Perhaps picking a component of a meal as a snack will help you too. emoticon

Great job! Once you identify the trouble spots, you can eliminate them with a bit of planning. Way to go!
