Wk 116 Weigh In

Saturday, June 29, 2013

I hope everyone is enjoying their Summer weather, 'cause here in Central California, I'm not enjoying it! It's approximately 101 right now at 2 pm with 3 hours to go before it reaches the high for today (should be about 105-107). Next week will be about the same until Friday where I believe it's forecast to be 88-90.

But on the brighter side, I will be leaving on Tuesday, helping my friend move 7 hours North to the coastal town of Arcata, Ca. where next week's average high will be 74. I will be gone anywhere from a couple of days to a week or more, depending on the situation once we get up there (sleeping arrangements, comfort level in the house, etc.). So I will be enjoying the mild coastal temperatures while I am there, definitely.

Last week saw me gain 1.6 lbs for some unknown reason and instead of being angry about it I just shrugged my shoulders and carried on. This week I wanted to lose at least what I had gained and hopefully more. So let's take a look at the numbers.

Weight : 209.4
Lost : 2.2
Total : 107.8

Finally crossed the 210 barrier! I was on pace to lose more weight than this, dropping weight everyday. But Friday and Saturday came in at the same weight for whatever reason and while that's kind of bummed me out (I wanted a BIG loss this week) I'm still happy with what I did, removing last week's gain and a little more.

So if nobody hears from me or sees any action on my part for a few days next week, you'll know that I'm relaxing in a cooler clime and smiling :)

Hope you enjoy your break from the heat!

We have fairly nice weather here this week low of 64, high of 84. No rain for a change, the kids love to see the sun and go for a swim.

Great job on the loss!

Enjoy your trip and the cooler temperatures. I love your attitude of having gained a little at one point but just shrugging your shoulders and carrying on, ultimately losing weight overall for the week anyways. :) Great for not letting it derail you. that is good for me to remember...

Both the weight loss and the plan to go somewhere cooler.
Here in NM, we are burning up. (It's a ho hum comment because it's just "normal" lately)
Lucky you will have a bit of a break. Enjoy!

Congratulations for getting under 210. Have fun moving...or as you could look at it burning calories. You may have broken your plateau and are on the smaller and better numbers!

Way to go! I had a gain on my weigh in on Wed, but it turned out to be a weak battery on my daughter's scale. I had gained at my sister's house in FL, so buckled down for 2 days, and was weighing at my daughter's in MD. She had been out of the country and did not know, but it said "batt". So, my response was the same as yours, except we went to buy a new battery. By the time we got it and I went to post the correct weight which was a loss, it was too late. So, unless another unexplainable occurrence happens, I should have a healthy loss for next weigh in. I showed your blog to my son because he has regained a large portion of his 150 lb loss. He is following our eating plan and has lost 5 since Tuesday.
