Day 545- Tracking food

I've really been slacking when it comes to tracking my food. I only use the QuickTrack feature on the Start page to track my exercise. I just can't find the motivation to track. I'm usually disappointed when I see how many calories I'm eating anyways. I find it so difficult to start eating healthy again after taking a break.

Does anyone have any advice for getting back on track with tracking?

    Ugh, I hate putting the not-so-good choices in a tracker, but if I think about actually doing it, or I put it in to see "where I'll be with it" then sometimes that is enough to sway me from putting it in my mouth.

It has definitely helped me to not inhale a jar of peanut butter (ok well not the WHOLE jar, but you get the point lol)

    Begin to track what you eat, everything and every bite, do not judge yourself nor feel bad, just track and notice your pattern and your trigger food. Then, you will plan ahead your day, start with a meal a time, like breakfast.

You can also follow SP diet plan, and eat according to their menus, if you need a stricter plan.

    At first you'll just have to force yourself. Eventually it will become habit. I get panicky if I don't...

    I agree. Tracking beer and potato chips for today is not quite as easy as the consumption of them, but I am hoping that consistency in being on this site, reading what others are going through and tracking other points and exercise will help in the end (no pun). And I always do worse when I am not on Sparkpeople

    Just track the food, no matter what. For me at least it's like a slap in the face and I can't turn a blind eye if I'm not eating well. All I have to do if I've gained weight is look at my tracker. It will tell me why.
