HIITing back at the fat!

Todays 2 hour bootcamp was perfectly timed - I've been slacking a little the last two weeks and its was time to rev it up a gear.
The first 20 minutes was a warm up run (hahaha did noone tell these guys running is the main event not the warm up !)
then we hiked up more steps than i can count to a green field at the top, for shuttle runs, sprints, all kinds of fancy footwork in a ladder laid out on the grass.
SO thankfully that was the end of the cardio section
Then onto squats made even more difficult with resistance band tied round your ankles and knees 8 hours later I'm still that one.
Next the gym sesson, i learnt some new abs exercises, and some interesting one with partners where you pass a medicines ball over your head as you lie down and then over to your partner as you situp.
Then just to get us getting cold more cardio running the spot with high knee then heel kicks.
then back to floor press ups my favourite type the full military style i quite quickly feel back to girl knees on the floor.
Some how this was all quite good fun - even though yes you guessed it I was the slowest runner I know i have a long way to go before i run an average persons pace so I think I will keep a July goal which focusses on speeding up my run time even further. I'm still quite proud of my 35 second improvement in June and I know if I had done this class last year I wouldn't have even finished.
