Spark changed again, but I like it!

Saturday, June 29, 2013

This morning I was greeted with a sparkmail with the following link from Jamer123, a leader in the MN SPARKS FAT KICKERS TEAM: www.sparkpeople.com/blog

sparkpoints_and_more_of_them

I had noticed my sparkpoints changed the other day, I missed out on being able to take a poll for a few points. They made it easier for us though! Instead of having to click several different areas for points, we now are allowed to get more points for reading content we were already doing, but we don't have to go to several ares to do it, we get points for any Spark Content, up to 25 a day and up to 6 points a day for health content.

The changes to the points here:

Previous SparkPoints Tasks

Read an Article: 3 each/ 9 day
Take a SP Quiz: 5 ea./5 day
Read a SparkPeople Blog entry: 3 ea./6day
Read a Health A-Z topic: 3 ea./3 day
Read a Health News article: 3 ea./3 day
Read the SparkPeople Insider: 1 ea./1 day
Take a SparkPeople Poll: 3 ea./ 3 day

Total Possible Points: 30

Current SparkPoints Tasks

Read any SparkPeople content (includes quiz, slideshow, SparkPeople blog): 5 ea./25 day
Read Health Condition Content (A-Z, Health News): 3 ea./6 day

Total Possible Points: 31

Did you also notice your start page? They are trying to make it easier to give you options to click on from your front page for their daily interest with four features with a daily recipe and a daily video underneath it.

Read the link for their whole article and you'll get 5 points for reading their blog.

This is a change I can approve of, it makes it easier to gain the points than before and we get an extra point in the end. Thanks for spreading the word! Hopefully everyone will see the changes and enjoy them!

Today's Holidays: Hug Holiday, National Waffle Iron Day, Camera Day and National Almond Buttercrunch Day.

    I too enjoyed the quick-and-easy 3pt polls. :)

Today is also Vegan Pizza Day! Haha =) I always love when I stumble upon your blog entries and see the holidays.

I'm, personally, not thrilled about the change to the point structure, but it's also not the biggest deal in the world.

Interesting. But for some reason I don't go out of my way to worry about getting points. If I get them, I get them. Now if it was cash...! a whole other story.

Thanks for the info. Thought something was going on but hadn't dug too deep on it!
