We got there early and was registered and on the trail by 7am. It was already 82 degrees. We walked the route backward. Extra mental challenge and gives you a different perspective.

The walk starts/ends at Confederate Park just off I-35. We took the hike/bike trail along Nolan Creek.

I've walked this event several times and never paid any attention to the signboards for the Chisholm Trail until today.

We then went through residential district to get to Mary Hardin Baylor Campus.

Leaving the campus we walked on a busy street for a short distance before once again going into residential. I liked that the homes decorated for Independence Day.

We did a short distance through downtown and again I like the flags.

We crossed a bridge over Nolan Creek and walked back to the park. It was 92 when we finished at 10:10am.
