On Monday, I'm going to start a new workout....the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I'm really looking forward to it, especially since my dear Sparkfriend Tammy (Luvtobowl) is going to be doing it too. Even though we live about 700 miles apart, we are going to be workout buddies! Knowing that we are doing the same workout will help us to stay motivated, and we will be accountable to each other.
In addition to the 30 Day Shred, I will be continuing with my favorite workout, DDP Yoga. Even after a year, I still find it challenging, motivating and fun. Its even better now, because hubby has been joining me in doing it every day. He's ten years younger than me and in pretty good shape. The moves that I struggle with are easy for him....so that motivates me to push myself even harder.
I am feeling very positive and determined to make July the best month of the year so far. I've been kind of coasting for a while now. I lost 71 lbs last year, but I have been at a plateau so far this year. Its time to start making progress again! I know what I need to do, and that is to be more vigilant with my eating. I have gotten kind of lax about weighing and measuring my food, and there are days here and there where I don't track what I'm eating. Plus, I have become a nibbler. Just a bite here and there, not enough to make me gain. But I know that these behaviors are the reasons I'm at a plateau. Its time for me to be as strong as I know I can be, and get these bad habits under control so that I can get the weight loss started again.
So bring it on, July! I've got a new workout planned, and a renewed sense of determination. I'm excited to start making progress again!
