Mirror, Mirror

Does anyone work out in front of a mirror? And I don't mean just with doing ST to keep a check on your form. What about with cardio?

I've hung my over-the-door mirror on my rail with the blinds to my sliding doors to the balcony during my Turbo Fire workouts, and WHOA.

I think it has helped me push harder since I know the routines just by hearing what she is saying that I don't have to watch the screen for cues, so I can focus on what I see myself doing. There are days where I don't feel like I make visible progress, but after using the mirror, I can definitely tell!

I can see muscles defined that I didn't even know existed. I've been so obsessed (since I started running more and more over a year ago) with getting more definition in my legs that I didn't realize what was already there. They aren't how I pictured them to be, but I like what I see than what I originally pictured.

Seriously. Just try it. Try it once. Ready.... GO!

    Sadly at all the YMCA's in my area, the cardio section faces windows, but I can see my reflection faintly when I run. It usually just helps me think about my body and how I'm doing good things for it these days. When I strength train though, yeah, mirrors everywhere in the gyms. It's still nice to peek in those mirrors though, and see noticeable differences in my gut and in my face. My side profile is starting to slim down quite noticeably, and that's a super encouraging thing to see.

P.P.S. I love that you quoted Steven Furtick, I watched that series online a bunch of months ago! :-D

    Yep, done it! Have to admit mostly to nail down my form, but it definitely keeps me going at a high level!

    I've never tried working out in front of a mirror. I'll definitely have to try it.
